Kiwi
fruit, originally an export of New Zealand, was named for their
famous kiwi bird.They contain a protein-splitting enzyme. Other
fruit that contains this enzyme are fresh pineapple, papaya
and babaco. This substance makes the fruit easy to digest and
fried together with meat it makes it more tender.
Kiwi fruit is madeup of 84% water, and yet is extremely rich
in vitamin C, and potassium. It also contains good amounts
of sulfur, vitamin A, calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium.Two
medium kiwifruits contain 100 calories, two grams of protein,
one gram of fat, 24 grams of carbohydrates, and 4 grams of dietary
fiber.
